I bought this to replace a Dyson DC-15 animals. The Dyson has been a sharp noise that gave both my wife and me a headache. I found I could vacuum with an iPod on the strong, and could manage with earplugs. After giving two DC-15 is a test, I started my quest for clear yet bought the 5770. The good: 1). This vacuum is great value compared to the Dyson. 2). The intake is just as good or better than most Dyson's (a guy told me that sales of the DC-17 has a little 'more, but both are excellent). When the vacuum after the DC-15 of the Bissell picked up more things. I first noticed the void with the DC-15 has a bunch of junk on my carpet, but after that it was just a little '... The collected dust as much as the DC-15 is at the origin, so I was impressed. 3). It comes standard with turbo brush, and all the little tools you need standard brush is really good, because it is a standard long brush, but can break off and become a short bristle brush to scrub if you really have something. 4). The hose is very high. It is flexible and really get to the top of the stairs (unlike the Dyson). 5). The front is low for short periods to get underneath furniture, etc., and has a lighthouse. I thought that the lighthouse was no big deal, but when the extra long cord allowed me to vacuum in a dark room in the headlights actually helped. 6). You can turn off the beater brush on and off with a single keystroke. When placing the unit is turned off automatically. The brush also has a separate motor. The brush is very hard, like a Dyson, but the bristles are shorter, I think it makes it easier for your carpet. The Dyson began to lose the edges of the carpet fibers my carpet, I think because of the brush on the Bissell seems to be gentle on my carpet, but at the same time it makes the carpet fibers are on the right side and look like new. It also has a height adjustment, which, depending on your point of view, is a good thing. 7). It's quiet! You can actually talk with someone while vacuuming. Make no mistake, there is always a gap there is always noise, but it is a hit among which is easy to hear. Disadvantages: 1). It's hard! In fact, we are almost back to this unit and was looking for something that can work for us. We ended up keeping the unit, but we have a good few days to vacuum the house and think more. Joking, I said, we think of this as an exercise machine that just happens to clean the house! I recommend taking the time to test this in the store, pushing it around on some carpets (with a cotton swab) at home as if you had to get a true feeling for the first time (after the nice easy to operate DC-15 Ball), as it looked really heavy. After a few days we used to and does not seem bad at all. 2). Bissell got the wrong basket, dirt, Dyson wins this battle. The container is in a mild form "V", so a lot of dirt on top of the stack, one way or another, a small compact 'to pass through a smaller area of the base type, pass through a funnel. The water flows nicely through a funnel ... Dirt does not. The shutter button is just above that Dyson, so it's a deal two hands to hold the container, and then press the button to release the dirt. Then the hole in the ground is not sprung, as Dyson, so it may or may not open, so you may need to move up the finger trick with your finger or do not get your dusty, because the dirt is not just dump because the nice "V" shape of the unit was in place, perhaps this is a great feature? Jokes aside, this really could be improved and I hope that Bissell does this in future models as a really good vacuum. My reason for this problem by comparing dirt container.
